ON THE FOCUSING OF ULTRASONIC WAVES IN COMPLEX MEDIA
Abstract
The paper is concerned with the focusing of ultrasonic waves in complex media at the femtosecond temporal and nano-meter spatial scale. Focusing and self-focusing are properties of waves experimentally observed, and their balance depends on the nanoscale properties of the medium. These properties are investigated by using the couple stresses theory and the double couple radiation pattern.
