OPTIMAL VIBRATION CONTROL OF A SEMI-INFINITE STRIP
Abstract
A simultaneous control law for combined structural and control design of a piezoelectric flexible structure is applied in this paper. The structure is composed of two semi-infinite layers: one layer of main material on the working surface, and another layer of piezoelectric material with Cantor-like structure, which exhibit large vibrations and a nonlinear coupling to the first layer. We show that the simultaneous design of control can explore larger portions of the design space.
